About Airth Castle Hotel Falkirk

In Falkirk’s countryside, 14th-century Airth Castle Hotel enjoys a peaceful setting. Once owned by the family of Robert the Bruce, it has a luxury spa, an elegant restaurant and stylish rooms. The Castle's former stable block now houses modern guest rooms, some overlooking the courtyard. All rooms have a flat-screen satellite TV, free tea and coffee and ironing facilities.

The award-winning spa features a pool, sauna, hot tub, steam room and beauty treatments. The gym equipment includes touch-screen TVs and iPod docks. The Grill Room Restaurant and Bar serve local, seasonal food beneath a pyramid of glass. The Hotel lounge offers a light menu and drinks.

The Castle Hotel is 30 minutes’ drive from Edinburgh and 45 minutes’ car journey from Glasgow. Historic Stirling, with its Castle and the Wallace Monument, is a 20-minute drive.

: great spa, restaurant was excellent, we had dinner and breakfast and couldn’t fault the quality or taste of the food
: The bar staff didn’t seem very experienced, the on draft lager was either off, not had its pumps cleaned properly or glass ware was unclean as all tasted awful, all glass ware looked dirty and the bar closed at 9:45 which seems unusual for a hotel. ended up going to a local shop for a few beers in the room

: Airth castle hotel is just a few minutes off the Scottish motorway system and very easy to find.There was at the time of our visit plenty of parking available. The staff were helpful and informative on arrival and during our stay.The hotel is clean and tidy and was actually above average quality (reviews online elsewhere have stated the hotel was less than average).A nice bar in the evening and a good buffet breakfast in the morning (the food was hot and fresh).
: A couple iof minor niggles..Better lighting in this room would probably make it a bit more attractive to stay in.The kettle in the room dribbled too much when making coffee and the back was missing from the tv remote control. I did say they were minor niggles.

: the hotel rooms are extremely run down. large holes in the walls, paint missing, stains on carpets, sheets so thin you can see the mattress. springs from mattress can be grabbed. large amounts of rust and staining in baths.

: The rooms were tired in appearance and cleanliness. Pity the housekeeping let us down too not replenishing the tea making facilities for day two.Budget accommodation in what could be a 5* location

: Price I guess 50 per night is fine
: Beds old an hurt my back, shower door broken, carpet very old, wallpaper coming off. Just old. And more importantly Not a castle. There is a closed one next door. But this is an old person’s home next door.

: We enjoyed all of our stay made good by excellent hard working staff. It is ideally situated in the centre of Scotland for visiting Stirling etc.
: Parts of the hotel need updating but we realize this is difficult during the present economic situation.
